We provide practical job experience, personalized support, and confidence-building opportunities—helping people take their next step toward stable, long- term work.

Who We Are

  • HopeWorks is a community-based employment and outreach program providing paid transitional work, job readiness, and supportive services for individuals seeking stability and long-term employment.

  • We seek to build pathways to dignity, independence, and stability.

Who We Serve

  • Individuals who are unhoused (a requirement)

  • Individuals facing employment barriers

  • People seeking stability, purpose, and confidence

  • People looking to change their situation

What We Do for the Community

  • Our teams provide hands-on support to improve the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our city through:

  • Street, sidewalk, alley, and canal bank cleanups

  • Neighborhood cleanups

  • Park and public space cleanups

  • Illegal dumping response

  • Blight reduction and community beautification

  • Graffiti abatement support (coming soon)

  • Sharps and needle abatement

  • Through consistent fieldwork and structured supervision, we help create safer, cleaner spaces for residents, families, and businesses.

  • Our Program Manager provides overall leadership and supervision of the workforce, including coordination of case managers, field operations, health and safety standards, and daily program activities.

  • A dedicated Foreman/Driver transports crews to job sites and provides on-site oversight, direction, and quality control in the field.

  • Participants work in supervised crews, supported by a designated client crew lead and a structured buddy system to promote accountability and teamwork.

  • Two Case Managers provide individualized support, guidance, and case management to help participants stay on track and work toward long-term stability.

How we work

  • Our workforce operates in structured teams to ensure efficiency, accountability, and consistent community impact.

  • Each weekday, two teams begin their shifts at 8:00 AM, while two additional teams begin at 10:00 AM, following alternating Monday/Wednesday/Friday and Tuesday/Thursday schedules.

  • Participants work 5-hour shifts, completing approximately 50 hours per month per client.

  • Teams rotate assigned workdays while maintaining consistent start times, helping create stability, routine, and personal responsibility.

  • As the program expands, additional walking crews will be introduced to further increase our service capacity throughout the community.
