Frequently Asked Questions

  • HopeWorks serves individuals who are unhoused and facing employment barriers. Participants come to the program seeking stability, purpose, and confidence as they work toward changing their situation. The program is designed for those who are ready to rebuild their lives through structured work experience and supportive case management.

  • HopeWorks crews provide street, sidewalk, alley, and canal bank cleanups throughout the community. The City also contracts the team for neighborhood cleanups, park and public space maintenance, illegal dumping response, blight reduction, beautification projects, and sharps and needle abatement. Graffiti abatement support is expected to be added in the future.

  • HopeWorks is overseen by a Program Manager who supervises operations, case management, workforce coordination, and health and safety standards. A Foreman/Driver transports teams and provides field oversight and daily direction. Participants work in supervised crews supported by a client crew lead and a buddy system to ensure accountability and safety.

  • Participants are supported by two dedicated Case Managers who help address employment barriers, provide coaching, and assist with long-term job readiness goals. HopeWorks combines hands-on work experience with structured support to help individuals build confidence, stability, and independence.
