Hope Beyond Rejection

I was in urgent need of work and applied to more than 300 jobs. I attended six interviews, but none led to employment. Currently, I am in Phase Three of the New Life Program at Modesto Gospel Mission, and securing stable employment is an important step toward moving forward. At times, the constant rejections left me feeling discouraged.

Even so, I have continued searching faithfully. Through HopeWorks, I am earning income and saving toward goals I’ve never achieved before — obtaining my driver’s license and completing my required classes.

This journey is teaching me responsibility, structure, and discipline. I am learning how to work alongside others as part of a team and how to give back by serving my community.

I am a hardworking person with hope for my future. Most importantly, I trust that God will open the right doors at the right time.
