Stepping Into Purpose

I came to HopeWorks after spending most of my life without stability. I had been homeless since I was 11 years old, and I knew I needed a real opportunity to change the direction of my life.

When I heard about HopeWorks through The Salvation Army and the Sheriff’s Alternative Program, I made the decision to step in and take it seriously. I committed to following every step, staying positive, and doing things differently than I had before.

Since joining the program, I’ve been working toward some important goals. I’m close to completing the program, and I’m preparing to start school to earn my Class A license. My focus is on building a stable life and creating better opportunities for myself moving forward.

Through this process, I’ve gained a sense of purpose. I’ve learned the value of serving others, working as a team, and continuing to grow into a better man. One of the things I appreciate most is the structure and support—it’s helped me stay focused and keep pushing forward.

I take pride in living clean, being honest, and becoming a productive member of society. I’m also stepping into a leadership role as a Crew Lead for Team W, which gives me the chance to lead by example and give back to others on the same path.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to be here, and I know this is only the beginning of my story.
